Warm welcome at Bandaranaike International Airport / Short drive to Negombo / Relax after your flight by the beach or hotel pool / Overnight in Negombo

Upon your arrival, you will be met by our representative and transferred to Negombo, a coastal town. This day is dedicated to your recovery and relaxation; settle into your sanctuary by the sea, enjoy the tropical breeze, and take a gentle stroll along the shore as you prepare for the journey ahead.

Visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage (Elephant feeding + bathing) / Continue to Sigiriya (cultural triangle) / Evening climb Pidurangala to witness the Sunset / Overnight in Sigiriya.

Begin your immersion into the island’s nature at Pinnawala, where you can observe the heartwarming rituals of elephants bathing in the river. Afterwards, journey into the heart of the Cultural Triangle toward Sigiriya. As the day draws to a close, hike to the summit of Pidurangala Rock for a majestic, unobstructed sunset view of the neighbouring Lion Rock.

Early climb to Sigiriya Rock Fortress / Afternoon bullock cart ride + catamaran ride + village lunch / Overnight in Sigiriya – Optional: Ayurvedic head massage

Ascend the 5th-century Sigiriya Rock Fortress in the cool of the morning to witness ancient sky-palace architecture and world-famous frescoes. In the afternoon, shift to a slower pace with an authentic village experience, featuring a traditional bullock cart ride and a peaceful catamaran journey, followed by a wholesome organic lunch prepared by local hands.

Short visit to Dambulla Cave Temple (colourful Buddha statues, manageable walk) / Stop at spice garden in Matale / Evening Kandyan dance performance / Overnight in Kandy

Explore the spiritual depths of the Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site housing a spectacular collection of religious statuary and murals. Continue to Kandy with a sensory stop at a Matale spice garden to learn about the island’s aromatic heritage. Your evening concludes with the rhythmic energy of a traditional Kandyan cultural performance.

Visit Peradeniya Botanical Gardens / Walk around Kandy Lake / Short visit to Temple of the Tooth / Overnight in Kandy

Spend your morning amidst the towering palms and rare orchids of the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens. Later, find serenity with a walk around the Kandy Lake before visiting the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, the most venerated site in the country, to witness the evening rituals and find a moment of quiet reflection.

Scenic train ride from Kandy to Nanu Oya / Visit a tea factory / Explore Gregory Lake (Optional: Boating) / Overnight in Nuwara Eliya

Board the iconic “Blue Train” for a breathtaking journey through the mist-shrouded mountains and emerald tea estates. Upon arrival in “Little England,” visit a working tea factory to master the art of the perfect brew and spend a relaxed evening wandering the banks of the picturesque Gregory Lake.

Drive to Ella / Visit Nine Arch Bridge and Little Adam’s Peak (easy hike) / Relax at a lodge with mountain views (Optional: Abseiling, ziplining and quad biking) / Overnight in Ella

Travel further into the highlands to the bohemian village of Ella. Walk across the architectural marvel of the Nine Arch Bridge before taking an easy trek up Little Adam’s Peak for sweeping views of the Ella Gap. The evening is yours to soak in the mountain views from your private balcony or indulge in high-altitude adventure.

Scenic drive to Yala / Visit Ravana falls en route / Overnight near Yala National Park

Descend from the highlands toward the southern plains, pausing at the legendary Ravana Falls for a photograph against the cascading water. As the landscape shifts from lush green to rugged dry-zone wilderness, settle into your jungle-fringed accommodation near the gateway of Yala National Park.

Morning jeep safari (see elephants, buffaloes, crocs, maybe a leopard!) / After lunch, drive to Mirissa Beach / Overnight in Mirissa.

Set out on a dawn 4×4 safari, tracking the elusive Sri Lankan leopard and observing the raw pulse of the wild. After a thrilling morning in the leopard’s kingdom, travel toward the coast to the golden shores of Mirissa, arriving in time to feel the evening tide of the Indian Ocean.

Embrace another morning of seaside tranquillity or opt for a private whale-watching expedition. Later, journey to the 17th-century Galle Fort, where you can explore cobblestone streets, visit the iconic lighthouse, and indulge in the sophisticated boutique charm of this UNESCO-listed maritime sanctuary.

Drive along the scenic southern expressway to the Bandaranaike International airport – (Optional: short stop at Turtle Hatchery in Kosgoda or visit Gangaramaya Temple if time permits)

As your journey concludes, travel along the southern expressway for a final view of the coastline. Depending on your flight schedule, pause to witness conservation efforts at a turtle hatchery or find final spiritual resonance at the Gangaramaya Temple in Colombo before your departure.
