Day

01 Arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport / Warm welcome at the airport / Drive to Kandy / Evening visit to the sacred Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic / Cultural dance performance / Kandy viewpoint / Overnight in Kandy.

Your journey begins with a warm welcome and a private transfer into the verdant hills of the last royal kingdom. As the evening air cools, visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic to witness the rhythmic traditional ceremonies. 02 Breakfast at the hotel / Visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage (optional) / Transfer to Sigiriya / Evening village experience with bullock cart ride & traditional Sri Lankan lunch / Overnight in Sigiriya.

Travel toward the dry-zone plains, with an optional morning stop to observe the bathing elephants at Pinnawala. In the afternoon, immerse yourself in the island’s “Human Touch” with a traditional village experience. Navigate the rural landscape by bullock cart and enjoy a wholesome, authentic Sri Lankan lunch prepared over a wood-fired hearth in a local home.

03 Early morning climb of the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress / Scenic drive to Nuwara Eliya / Visit tea plantation & factory / Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

Ascend the Sigiriya Rock Fortress at dawn to explore the ancient sky-palace and its world-renowned frescoes before the midday heat. Afterwards, trade the plains for the mountains on a scenic drive to Nuwara Eliya. Here, you will visit a high-altitude tea factory to learn the artisanal secrets of Ceylon tea, ending the day in the “Little England” of the hills.

04 Morning transfer to Nanu Oya station / Train ride to Ella / Visit Nine Arch Bridge / Explore Ella town / Overnight in Ella.

Board the legendary “Blue Train” for a segment of what is widely considered the world’s most beautiful rail journey. Upon arriving in the bohemian village of Ella, walk through the tea bushes to witness the architectural marvel of the Nine Arch Bridge. Spend your evening exploring the vibrant, laid-back cafes and boutiques of Ella town.

05 Transfer to Yala National Park / Afternoon luxury jeep safari / Continue to the South Coast / Overnight on the South Coast (Mirissa/Ahangama/Bentota).

Descend from the mountains to the rugged southern wilderness for a high-adrenaline afternoon safari in Yala National Park. Track the elusive Sri Lankan leopard and wild elephants across the scrublands before heading to the coast. 06 Drive to Colombo / City highlights / Shopping / Airport transfer / Departure.

On your final day, travel to the vibrant capital of Colombo for a curated city tour. Explore the eclectic architecture of the Gangaramaya Temple, breathe in the ocean air at Galle Face Green, and enjoy a final afternoon of high-end shopping at the city’s premier boutiques.
