Arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport / Visit Munneshwaram & Manawari Temples / Overnight in Negombo

Upon your arrival, your private chauffeur-guide will lead you to the northwest coast to begin your spiritual journey. You will visit the Munneshwaram Temple, a sacred site where Lord Rama is said to have prayed to Lord Shiva, followed by the nearby Manawari Temple, home to the first lingam installed by Rama. After exploring these ancient legends, settle into the coastal calm of Negombo for your first evening on the island.

Transfer to Trincomalee / Koneswaram Temple & Shankari Devi Temple / Overnight in Trincomalee

Travel to the majestic east coast to visit the legendary Koneswaram Temple, a cliff-top sanctuary built by King Ravana and dedicated to Lord Shiva. Adjacent to the temple, you will visit the Shankari Devi Temple, one of the 18 powerful Shakthi Peethams. The afternoon offers breathtaking views of Trincomalee Bay, one of the world’s finest natural harbours, where history and natural beauty converge.

Transfer to Kandy / Spice Garden Visit / Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic / Overnight in Kandy

As you journey toward the hill capital, pause in Matale for a sensory tour of a spice garden, learning about the medicinal plants used since ancient times. Upon reaching Kandy, pay your respects at the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic during the evening Theva ceremony. If available, the day concludes with a high-energy Kandyan cultural dance performance, showcasing the rhythmic soul of the highland people.

Hanuman Temple / Transfer to Nuwara Eliya / Seetha Amman Temple / Overnight in Nuwara Eliya

Ascend into the misty tea country to visit the Shri Bhakta Hanuman Temple, situated on the hills where Hanuman is believed to have searched for Sita. Continue to the Seetha Amman Temple in Nuwara Eliya, the site of the Ashoka Vatika where Sita was held captive. The evening is yours to explore the colonial “Little England” charm or walk through the emerald tea plantations that define this high-altitude retreat.

Divurumpola / Ravana Waterfall & Caves / Kataragama Temple / Overnight near Kataragama

Visit Divurumpola, the “Place of Oath,” where Sita is said to have undergone her ordeal of fire (Agni Pariksha). The expedition then leads Ella to witness the cascading Ravana Falls and the nearby Ravana Caves, hidden within the mountain cliffs. The day ends at the multi-religious pilgrimage site of Kataragama, a sacred ground associated with Hanuman’s journey through the southern plains.

Ussangoda / Transfer to Colombo / Anjaneyar & Kelaniya Temples / Overnight in Colombo

Travel along the southern coast to the red-earthed plateau of Ussangoda, believed to be a landing strip for Ravana’s flying chariot, the Dandu Monara. Upon arriving in Colombo, visit the Anjaneyar Temple, the first in the world dedicated to a five-faced Hanuman, and the Kelaniya Temple, where Ravana was crowned king after the war. The afternoon is reserved for a relaxed city tour and final shopping.

Breakfast at the hotel / Depart from Sri Lanka
